About MASU
In a classic example of form following function, MASU (Music Accessory Stand Unit) offers a way to keep mutes and other accessories conveniently and securely close at hand while adding a touch of class to the stage.
The shelf is laser-cut from 5mm Plexiglas; it is durable and nearly invisible. A rubber-coated metal stop rod follows the contour of the shelf on three sides. A well-designed clamp attaches securely to any music stand with a rod up to 1.2” in diameter.
Two sizes are available: 6” X 11” (66 sq. inches) or 7” X 14” (98 sq. inches). The medium size holds 3-4 standard trumpet mutes; the large size is suitable for trombone mutes or a greater number of accessories. Solidly built, this is probably not something you will carry around at all times in your gig bag, but it is perfect for the theatre pit, teaching studio or concert stage.
MASU is designed and hand built to order by a Canadian craftsman. Orders are usually shipped within a week.
