NMC Jazz Camp
Location: Camp Wahanowin, Orillia, Ontario
Age: Grade 7-12
Level: Some instrumental experience required, beginner to advanced jazz level.
Jazz Camp at National Music Camp takes place on the shores of Lake Couchiching, 90 minutes north of Toronto. It is a seven-day sleepover camp for students in grades 7-12.
For over forty years, NMC has been providing students with an exceptional camp experience coupled with ear-opening musical instruction. Three camps run concurrently: jazz, band/orchestral, and music theatre. Upwards of 350 students gather during the final week of the summer for a celebration of the arts. Everybody comes away charged up and bursting with new found knowledge, experience and confidence.
