Chase Sanborn Signature Mouthpieces

Ray plays CS mouthpieces exclusively!

Chase Sanborn Signature Mouthpieces are designed in consultation with, and manufactured by Gary Radtke, of GR Mouthpiece Technologies. GR has taken the trumpet world by storm, creating mouthpieces that outplay everything else on the market.

What makes GR mouthpieces different?

The manufacturing quality of GR mouthpieces equals or exceeds anything else on the market. Every mouthpiece is handmade by Gary Radtke, and is inspected with high-tech equipment that reveals the tiniest flaws. During the design process, each mouthpiece is assigned a set of highly precise parameters, which are programmed into the CNC lathes. Adhering to the principles of flow dynamics, each component and transition area of the mouthpiece is mathematically calculated to eliminate discontinuities, which cause disturbances of the air. The result is a mouthpiece that blows easily in all registers and produces a great body of sound with maximum efficiency. When you play a GR mouthpiece and discover how well it responds, it’s reassuring to appreciate the high degree of precision math and science that is used to create it.

What makes CS Signature Models different?

The CS Signature Models are the result of extensive experimentation with rim, cup, throat, and backbore combinations. Designed to accommodate daily playing requirements that range from lead trumpet to small combo jazz to the myriad challenges of studio work, this is a versatile and efficient design. CS Mouthpieces produce a large, resonant sound throughout the entire range of the horn, respond easily in the high register, provide clean attacks and smooth flexibility, slot accurately, play in tune and project to the back of the hall.

Three trumpet cups are available, offering a wider range of sound than is possible with just one mouthpiece. GR’s unique parameters allow him to design a ‘matched set’ of trumpet mouthpieces. They feel similar to play, but produce markedly different tone qualities. Matching the sound of the mouthpiece to the job at hand makes your job easier. There are also matching models for flugelhorn, cornet, piccolo trumpet and the unique ‘flumpet’ model.

When you purchase a ’signature’ model, you reap the benefit of many hours of experimentation and prototype design. Much of the work has been done for you; you can rest assured that this mouthpiece has been put to the test. While no mouthpiece is perfect for everyone, the CS models excel for a wide variety of players, as the comments attest.

*SPECIAL LIMITED TIME OFFER!*

The recent price increases in gold have sent the cost of gold plated mouthpieces through the roof. While most players prefer the look and feel of gold, the price differential is now great enough that we have decided to switch to silver plating in order to offer CS Signature Mouthpieces at a lower cost.

For a limited time, existing stock of gold mouthpieces are on sale for the same price as silver. This represents a $55 price reduction from the most recent price. Once the gold stock is depleted, mouthpieces will be stocked in silver only, with gold a custom option.

Take advantage of this special offer to get a gold plated mouthpiece at significant savings. This is a good chance to expand your arsenal by picking up a flugelhorn, cornet, piccolo trumpet or the fantastic ‘flumpet’ mouthpiece. Buy two or more and pay no shipping.
